Amber L. McDonald is an associate at Baker & Miller PLLC where her practice focuses on antitrust litigation. In addition, Ms. McDonald has experience with Hart-Scott-Rodino filings.

Prior to joining Baker & Miller, Ms. McDonald clerked for the Honorable Christine O.C. Miller of the United States Court of Federal Claims and was a litigation associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, LLP. At Skadden, Ms. McDonald aided in settlement negotiations with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice and assisted a pro bono client in a matter before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. McDonald received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, where she double majored in English Literature and Political Science, and graduated cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law in 2005. While at Hofstra, Ms. McDonald was an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review, a Hofstra Merit Scholar, and a recipient of the C.V. Starr Foundation Endowed Scholarship. In addition, Ms. McDonald’s student writing was awarded an Honorable Distinction in The National Lesbian & Gay Law Association’s Michael Greenberg Competition.

Ms. McDonald is the author of Secularizing the Sacrosanct: Defining “Sacred” for Native American Sacred Sites Protection Legislation, which was published in Volume 33 of the Hofstra Law Review and republished in the Oklahoma State Supreme Court’s Sovereignty Symposium XVIII.

Ms. McDonald is admitted to practice in New York, Washington, DC, and before the United States Court of Federal Claims.
